India v Sri Lanka Final Match Full Highlights Video

Tri-Series in Bangladesh, 2010 India v Sri Lanka Final match Played at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur Dhaka (D/N), January 13, 2010 Full Highlights video
Tharanga's wicket in the first over gave India hope of a fightback in the final. However, Dilshan and Sangakkara put paid to that and blazed away to a 93 run partnership in quick time. The spinners pulled things back by picking up wickets and keeping the scoring rate down. However, Sri Lanka were never in trouble and they were guided by the experience of Mahela Jayawardene in the end.

Although, there were some anxious moments, the result never seemed to be in doubt. The Indian bowlers gave it their all, but 246 at the end of the day was a small total, under the conditions. It has been a great batting display from the Lankans, who deserve to be the winners of this cup.

Chanaka Welegedara is the highest wicket taker of the tournament with 8 wickets.

Virat Kohli gets the award for being the highest run scorer in the series (275 runs).

Kulasekara: I am happy to get my 1st Man of the Match award outside Sri Lanka. I stuck to the basics well and it paid off. It was important to stick to our plan and it was satisfying to get Sehwag's wicket.
Kumar Sangakkara, the captain of the winning side "I always say we have got match-winners in the side, and when it mattered today, every one of them fired. It was a great start, our bowlers have been through the mill, but all credit to them, they never lost faith, they have always come out with a smile and tried their best. last two months our fielding hasn't been the greatest, but we did well today."
MS Dhoni, captain of the runners-up side "I don't think the shot selection was great. Thanks to Suresh and Ravindra, we made it a contest, and I think if we hadn't lost Ashish we would have made a better fight of it. There wasn't any dew there. We should have been more careful while batting. Bowlers are coming back to form, so that's the positive from this series."
