The results of the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations (2067) held earlier this year have been published on Monday.
According to Office of the Controller of Examinations Sanothimi, this year 55.5 % of the total examinees under the regular category have made it through while 17.3% from the partial category.
Of the total examinees, 30,111 students have passed with distinction, 82619 have passed with first division marks, 109,795 have received second division and 8241 students have managed to pass with third division.
Altogether 4,96,243 examinees had appeared in the exams.
Of the total examinees under exempted category, 2,29,140 were male and 2,06,620 female. Similarly, of the 8, 140 examinees under open category, 4,578 were male and 3,662 female.
The SLC, considered as the Iron Gate of school education in Nepal, was held in March this year.
