She is the oldest in the family of four children and is a renowned model in her country. Before her winning, she is attending University of Puerto Rico in Carolina as a student. Her grandfather is of Spanish descent who immigrated to Puerto Rico. Mariana will officially represent Puerto Rico in the Miss Universe 2010 pageant.
