Rima Fakih was crowned Miss USA last May 16, 2010 becoming the first American woman with Arabic origin to ever win the contest. Prior to her crowning, Rimah has joined several smaller beauty contests and worked for Detroit Medical Center as a sales associate.
She has a degree in Economics and Business Management and intends to pursue a law degree in the future. As a Muslim woman, there was a mixed reaction to her winning the title.
