"You Belong With Me" is a song co-written and recorded by American country artist Taylor Swift. It is the third single from her second album, Fearless. The song was originally released on November 4, 2008 (digital download). The music video won the Best Female Video at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, making Swift the first country artist in history to win a MTV Video Music Awards, also called the VMAs.
On December 2, 2009, the song became nominated for three Grammy Awards, including Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the 52nd Grammy Awards. Also, the song is nominated for "Favorite Song" at the 2010 Kid's Choice Awards as well as nominating Swift for "Favorite Female Singer" and "Song of the Year" on the 2010 Academy of Country Music Awards.
Music video is Directed by Roman White, this video shows Taylor playing a typical girl next door, as well as the popular girlfriend (wearing a brunette wig) of a high school football star (Lucas Till). This video was shot in Hendersonville, Tennessee, and at Pope John Paul II High School, also in Hendersonville. Students from the school's band, football team and cheerleading squad were used as extras in the video. The final prom scene, featuring seniors at the school, used the decorations from the school's prom, which took place the next day.
